Stann is my solo project. My home base. It’s me, my cornet and electronics. It’s the music I create on my own in my studio at home. After a lot of doubts I decided to just go on stage with it. Since I have to make all the decisions, who knows where this will end?

Doux

I really enjoyed writing the album for doux, the fact that it was a concept album and that I know Harmen so well really helped in writing and choosing a direction. I would like to make another album and play the current one some more, preferably in small, cosy venues.

Performing theatre for children and teenagers is a fascinating experience. Co-creating a musical theatre piece with a dancer, a singer and a writer is an enriching experience. Touring the country with Kopseer is plain fun (unless I have to get up too early).

Exit_Brass!

My first theatrical experiences were with Exit-Brass! We were four young brass musicians and we wanted to do things differently, be more rock & roll. I wrote our arrangements, the four of us performed and toured (in China for example!) until life took us in different directions. But a reunion will happen, someday.

Mastercab

The core of Mastercab is my collaboration with Elke Jacobs. In less busy times we used to work on songs at least once a week, now that’s hard. But I love working on beats and sounds and songs with her and getting new Mastercab material out. I miss the full band shows, the small acoustic sets and especially getting into a rehearsal room with a beer and just making music together.
